Judge Who Recognized Classmate in Courtroom Is There To Greet Him As He Leaves Jail
Miami Judge Mindy Glazer came face-to-face with Arthur Booth last year as he faced a burglary charge.
Ten months after a judge came face-to-face with a former classmate in her courtroom, she was there to meet him as he was released from jail.
Miami Judge Mindy Glazer gave Arthur Booth tough love as they were reunited on Tuesday.
"You’ve got to take care of your family, try and get a job, stay clean," she told him. "You're going to do something good for someone else. That's what you've got to do."
Last June, Judge Glazer made headlines when she recognized Booth, a burglary suspect, when he entered her court. She remembered him from middle school.
"I'm sorry to see you here," she told him as he wept. "I always wondered what happened to you."
This week, Glazer wanted to be there to greet him, along with his family.
“This is a group effort to see you succeed. Don’t let us down," she told him.
"I won’t," he promised.
