Nick Gordon Describes The Night He Found Bobbi Kristina Unconscious in Their Bathtub
Gordon told Dr. Phil that his girlfriend had a drug problem.
A year after he walked out of an interview with television personality Dr. Phil McGraw, Nick Gordon is back on the set, talking about the death of girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Gordon acknowledges the daughter of Whitney Houston had a drug problem, and admits the couple used together after the singer’s death in 2012.

“It’s unfortunate, but at the time, that’s kind of the only way we knew how to deal with what happened,” Gordon says during the interview, which will air in two parts on Thursday and Friday.
The night Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub, Gordon said he had been out drinking with friends. Brown called and told him to come home because she thought he was with other women, he said.
When he returned, they argued and “then we laid on the bed with each other,” he said. Then he left her in the bedroom and went to another room in the house, he said.
A friend found her in the bathtub, under water, much the same way her mother was found after her death.
Gordon “started giving her chest compressions,” he said. “When she spit up water, I thought she was going to wake up.” After six months in a medically induced coma, Brown died in July 2015 at age 22.
“How does that happen to one person and then happen the second time? It was just so similar. All the sirens and all that stuff. It was horrible,” Gordon said.

Brown’s relatives have said they blame Gordon for what happened. The conservator of her estate has filed a $10 million civil suit alleging Gordon is responsible for Brown’s death. Nick Gordon has denied having anything to do with her death.
Gordon has criticized Brown’s father, Bobby Brown, who has a long history of drug abuse.
“He hurt his own daughter, not me. I was the one there for her while she was dealing with him not being there,” Gordon said.
