Kelly Ripa Takes On-Air Jab At Michael Strahan About His Divorces
Strahan looked shocked when Ripa asked him about his divorces.
Kelly Ripa took an apparent dig at her soon-to-be-departing co-host, Michael Strahan.
“I don't have a take on it, but I want yours,” she said while introducing a segment about divorced couples on Friday morning on Live! “You’ve gotten divorced.”
The former New York Giant looked shocked when Ripa brought up his two failed marriages in a question that seemingly came out of nowhere.
“I look at it like this, if you are in a relationship with someone, hopefully, there was love there at some point or you wouldn't have been in a relationship with them in the first place. Things change,” he said.
Ripa, who just celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary, had one more comment.
“To me like, I said, I don't have a frame of reference, but it sounds like it would be a terrible idea,” she said.

It marked the second day of awkward exchanges between the two.
On Thursday, during a wildlife segment, Ripa said she wanted to bring a feisty, screaming armadillo to her next contract negotiations.
Entertainment reporter Mary Murphy told IE: “The fact that she made jabs at his past divorce is pretty low, but then again it speaks to the situation. He was taken away, he left without telling her.”
