For 45 minutes, strangers from around the world saw Sarah Dome of Sacramento, California, give birth to her baby boy, Ngangatulelei HeKelesi.
It was the first time ever that a birth had been livestreamed on Facebook.
“I was really, really surprised, like ‘Oh my gosh, how could you do this?’ For everyone to tune in and watch me have a baby, shocking,” she told Inside Edition. “I just had a baby it was a beautiful moment so I can’t be mad too long but he’s going to hear about it for the rest of his life.”
The baby's father, Kali Kanongata, thought only his relatives were watching. He says he forgot to make the video private.
“I was pretty much shocked that I put it on live for everyone to see,” he said.
But their happiness was cut dramatically short when Child Protective Services stepped in and took custody of the little baby boy.
Apparently, someone watching the live video recognized Kali from a domestic violence allegation from a past relationship. He denies the allegation.
“They came in and took our baby,” Sarah said. “I only spent one night with him.”

Now they have to go to court to convince a judge the baby is not in any danger.
