Rescuers Pull 200-Pound Baby Elephant Out of Uncovered Storm Drain

A baby elephant fell into a storm drain left uncovered over the weekend in the Sri Lankan town known for herds of elephants routinely crossing the street.

Sri Lankan rescuers were faced with an elephantine problem when an elephant calf fell into an uncovered storm drain.
