A photo of a beaten and bloodied Trump supporter that appeared on the Twitter account "Conservative Nation" has been exposed as a joke.

The photo was captioned: "Here's what happened to female Trump supporter when she met 'peaceful' and 'tolerant' liberals."

The brutal picture was revealed to have been taken by Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell and the woman is actress Samara Weaving, the niece of Matrix and V for Vendetta actor Hugo Weaving.

Campbell exposed the hoax and called those that believed it "sad," mimicking Trump's signature tweet sign off.

The photo is also five months old and Samara Weaving once shared it on her Instagram page.
She also showcased the scene from the series, Ash Vs. Evil Dead on Starz, in which she looked as if she were beaten up back then as well.
"Conservative Nation" has since deleted the tweet.
