Body Builder Looks Like a Superhero as He Springs to Action to Rescue Woman From Submerged Car

Jason Moss had just left the gym when he heard the screams of a desperate woman who had fallen into a river while driving.

A New Jersey damsel in distress was facing certain doom when her car plunged into a river  until a musclebound superhero saved the day.

The woman, who was not identified, was trapped in her SUV in the waters of the Passaic River in Nutley as bodybuilder Jason Moss was leaving a nearby gym.

Cops say her vehicle had somehow jumped the curb on a landing.

A witness called 911, saying: “There's a car in the river. It looks like there's somebody in there. Holy s*** yeah, tell them to get here quick!”

The 50-year-old woman fought for her life as the car fills with water in the June 15 incident as Moss came to the rescue.

The 30-year-old told Inside Edition he ran to the area when he heard people screaming.

He said: “I see a car that's about 50 or 75 percent underwater, sinking fast.”

In true comic book hero fashion, Moss ripped off his shirt and leaped into action.

“I jump in the water, swam over to the car, saw that she was unconscious in the center of the car, unseatbelted,” he recalled.

A driver on a bridge shot video of the dramatic scene as he tried to save the woman.

He lifted the woman to safety and the driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Moss, who hopes to be a competitive bodybuilder, got some scrapes, but insists “I'd do it again. It’s the right thing to do.”
