Return of the Bling Ring? New Team May Be in Action Amid High-Profile Heists
Cops are wondering whether a new Bling Ring is at work after $500,000 worth of goods were taken from actor Kevin Hart's home.
A new "Bling Ring" may be in action, breaking into celebrity homes like that of Central Intelligence actor Kevin Hart and singer Chris Brown, who have each had jewels, clothes and cash swiped.
Other recent victims include Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality stars Scott Disick, as well as Rob Kardashian’s beau, Blac Chyna, who had $200,000 in cash and jewels stolen from her.
The break-in at Hart's mansion — where $500,000 worth of goods were taken — has cops wondering if a new “Bling Ring" is in action, just like the notorious gang that gained notoriety in 2008.
The last time around, the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Audrina Patridge and Orlando Bloom were burglarized.
The story became the subject of the 2013 Sofia Coppola film, The Bling Ring, which starred Emma Watson.
Nick Prugo was part of the gang and spoke out on Good Morning America in 2010, saying “I am definitely sorry for what I’ve done.”
Crisis manager Wendy Feldman, who came to know the cast of characters from The Bling Ring gave an update as to what happened to some of the other members.
Feldmen told Inside Edition about Rachel Bee, saying: "Each person handled it differently. Rachel’s goal was to change her life and get closer to her family and really look at what happened."
The best known Bling Ringer, Alexis Neiers, who went on to star in her own E! reality show, Pretty Wild. Today, she's the mother of two children.
