Police Say Drunk Grandmother Led Them On High Speed Chase

Police pulled over 77-year-old grandmother Syble Dickens, because they say she was drunk and speeding on New Year's Day. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
She's the little old lady at the center of a startling drunk-driving case. Cops say the 77-year-old granny led them on a high-speed chase on New Year's Day, driving drunk on the wrong side of the highway.
But the real shocker was the guy in the passenger seat…her drunk grandson!
The drama happened on a road near Nashville, Tennessee.
Caller: "There's a car on the opposite lane of the highway, flying down the highway, running about 80 miles an hour. A little maroon car."
Cops say they found Syble Dickens and her drunk grandson with "an open bottle of Budweiser and a bottle of champagne."
Dickens allegedly sprayed cologne in her mouth to mask the smell of alcohol after she was pulled over.
In the booking video, just after 1 a.m. on New Year's Day, her grandson decides to have a little rest and disappears behind the counter.
Cops lift him back to the upright position.
Dickens denies she tried to outrun the cops, but says she's learned her lesson about New Year's celebrations.
"Celebrate at home with friends and family. That's what I'll do for the rest of my life," she said.
