Devan Ebert told Inside Edition that Trump did not throw her and her baby out of a Virginia rally last week.

"My son, Vinny, was sleeping and he woke up from his nap and started to cry," she said.

She thought it was “hilarious” when Trump stopped his speech to acknowledge the crying baby. She said she "didn’t expect it."

Devan added: "It took the pressure off of him crying... It made it a funny moment.”

During the event in Richmond, Vinny could be heard crying, prompting the GOP presidential pick to say: "Don’t worry about that baby, I love babies. I hear that baby crying. I like it. What a baby. What a beautiful baby. Don’t worry, don’t worry. The mom’s running around like — don’t worry about it, you know. It’s young and beautiful and healthy, and that’s what we want.”

But after the crying persisted, Trump said: “Actually, I was only kidding. You can get the baby out of here.I think she really believed me that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking."

The event became a headline, causing a headache for Trump and his campaign.

Ebert said that Trump "absolutely did not" kick her and Vinny out of the rally. She said "I excused myself because it was the considerate thing to do."

The situation has not caused Ebert to change her support of the bombastic billionaire.

"Just so he knows, I was not offended and he still has my vote," she declared.
