Ryan Lochte Posts Pictures Showing His Bleached Hair Turning Green
The gold medal winner is sporting a new do.
Ryan Lochte's dyed hair, what used to be a light blue, has now turned green.
The American gold medal winner posted images of his new green hair on Instagram.
Lochte has not commented if he dyed his hair again or if it turned color due to the chlorine in the pools he is swimming in.
On Tuesday, the Olympic diving pool turned green due to algae buildup caused by humid weather conditions.
The following day, Olympic officials cleaned the algae and a second pool inside the aquatic center turned green.
The second pool which is used for water polo was treated right away but some players are complaining the water is being over treated with chemicals and causing irritation.
"I could barely open my eyes for the final quarter," said Team USA captain Tony Azevedo. "They are putting so much chlorine in the water that people can't see."
Australian water polo player Richie Campbell echoed the same sentiments to Fairfax Media: “I don't know what's happened. I think they bumped up the chlorine or something because my eyes are stinging."
