The son of the GOP presidential candidate isn't backing down on the divisive comments.
Donald Trump Jr. is facing backlash after posting a controversial tweet Monday.

"If I had a bowl of skittles and I told you just three would kill you, would you take a handful? That's our Syrian refugee problem."
Twitter users quickly responded by posting photos of refugee children along with the hashtag #notaskittle.
Mars Inc., the maker of Skittles responded in a statement: "Skittles are candy. Refugees are people. We don't feel it's an appropriate analogy."

Many of Trump's supporters retweeted the post and were in favor of his rhetoric.
Despite the backlash, Donald Jr. has not apologized for his statement — nor is he backing down.
He tweeted in favor of a harsher immigration stance Tuesday morning.
