In the months that followed, there were signs that not all was well.
She was consumed with her humanitarian work for the UN, focusing on the lives and treatment of refugees.
Pitt was busy with work, filming his new World War II movie Allied, on location in Europe.
They were last seen publicly over July 4 weekend, when they were spotted shopping in a Los Angeles grocery store. They were also seen at a Jamba Juice, slow-dancing as they waited for their drinks.
According to published reports, they were already sleeping in separate bedrooms, even when they stayed in hotels. They were dealing with serious issues and arguing over how to raise their six children according to reports.
