Charlie Sheen Moves Rehab to His Beverly Hills Mansion
Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen has decided to go through rehab at his home instead of a medical facility. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
Charlie Sheen heads to rehab…at home? That's right, the troubled actor is now said to be undergoing treatment in the confines of his luxurious Beverly Hills mansion.
Sheen reportedly hired an "expert in addiction" who is willing to make house calls.
"Charlie has put together a team that he trusts to help get him sober once and for all," Sheen's manager said in a statement.
"It's going to be counselors, security people, it's going to be a whole group that are going to work on every aspect of his problems," says People's Mike Fleeman.
Sheen is said to be "depressed" and "coughing a lot," and his decision to undergo treatment at his home is reportedly creating conflict within his inner circle. His father, Martin Sheen, and other close friends are said to be begging him to check into a rehab facility.
But according to RadarOnline, "Charlie truly thinks he is invincible, and that he can do as much drugs as possible with no ramifications."
"It's a joke. There is no rehab going on at Charlie's house," says Dr. Howard Samuels, CEO of The Hills Treatment Center. Dr. Samuels says at-home treatment is not effective. "There's no intense therapy going on, there's no group therapy going on, there's really no rehabilitation going on."
Sheen had admitted himself into the rehab facility at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, but decided it wasn't for him. His neighbor Dr. Paul Nassif, reportedly drove the actor home.
"It shows total lack of commitment, it shows that he's not willing to change. Charlie's doing it his way," says Dr. Samuels.
Denise Richards was seen driving away from her ex-husband's house after a visit.
Jon Cryer, Sheen's Two and a Half Men co-star, is making the most of his free time. With the show on hiatus while Sheen gets treatment, Cryer went for a leisurely jog today.
