After Ken Bone's Creepy Reddit History Emerges, He Admits: I Owe Jennifer Lawrence An Apology
The instant star of Sunday's debate used the same Reddit account to chat with the world as one used to post NSFW content.
Ken Bone, the unlikely star of Sunday’s presidential debate, says he doesn't regret inadvertently revealing his old Reddit posts... but admits he might owe Jennifer Lawrence an apology.
Bone, who stole Sunday's show while wearing his now infamous red sweater, gave a glimpse into his internet habits after he held a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" session on Thursday night.
Instead of using an account free of any past posts, Bone apparently used a previously anonymous screen name that expressed love of Jennifer Lawrence's nether regions and a questionable take on the Trayvon Martin case.
Reddit users were quick to notice the apparent gaffe. Beneath his posts, some wrote: "Classic Bone!"
When asked if he regretted using his Reddit handle for the AMA, Bone told InsideEdition.com, "In a way, no. It's been a bit of a downer seeing the negative stuff, but I think folks are responding to the honesty, and that's part of what I'm about."
In the Reddit posts, written under the name StanGibson18, Lawrence's stolen nude photo controversy was compared to the loss of a wallet.
"Let's say I leave my wallet on top of my car at the gas station. I do it every time so I'm always losing it. That's me being dumb, no one to blame but me. On the other hand is still totally reasonable to be mad at the guy that finds it and steals all the cash and uses my credit card.
"Maybe she should have been more careful with her pics, but the bad guys are still the ones who sought them out and looked at them. By which I mean guys like me. I saw her butt hole. I liked it."
Bone told InsideEdition.com: "If I were to ever meet her I would owe her an apology."
Another post also complimented the female form, but instead of a starlet's behind, this one compared scantily clad pregnant women to war machines.
"Beautiful human submarines," StanGibson18 wrote in a thread called "Swimsuits and bellies go swell together."
In another post, one that GQ reports was removed after the AMA, the Florida death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin at the hands of George Zimmerman was discussed.
"It doesn't have to be one or the other view herre [sic]. From what I read about the case the shooting of Trayvon Martin was justified, but from what I've learned of Zimmerman through statements, interview, and behavior he is a big ole s*** bird.
"Bad guy legally kills kid in self defense. Sucks for everybody, including us due to the media..."
Reached for comment by InsideEdition.com, Bone clarified his post about Trayvon Martin.
"If you read the whole post on the Trayvon Martin tragedy you'll see that I said based on what I read, which was the release from the DOJ, the shooting was ruled as legally justified. It was also an awful thing to happen. Just because it was legal does not mean it was right. I wish Trayvon were still alive," he said.
Another bizarre post depicts a world where an "average Joe" not unlike Bone, 34, was to ascend to fame on TV news:
"We're getting a report that a Caucasian man in his mid thirties has just walked into his kitchen and forgotten why for a third time in a half hour. This stunning new revelation seems to prove the link between receding hair lines and Alzheimers [sic] disease.
"We go to Wolf Blitzer with more, Wolf?
"We've just learned from an anonymous source that he is also fat. StanGibson18 declined comment, so we must assume that he is an as a****** as well."
Bone hasn't shied away from the very public attention since his appearance at the debate on Sunday. He even scored his first endorsement deal.
"Everyone wants to know if I've decided ... and I have," Bone tweeted Thursday. "uberSELECT helps you ride in style like me."
