Two Pennsylvania children were found dead in their basement by their mother

The siblings, ages 4 and 8, were hanging from a support beam in the basement by a plastic-coated wire cable and two chairs near them had been tipped over, the Morning Call reported.

When their mother found them, they were both unresponsive and were then rushed to the hospital, according to reports.

They were put on life support but on three days later, on Sept. 26, they both died.

Police have taken out six search warrants on the home to try to obtain any evidence connected to the case.

The two children reportedly lived in the house with their mom and one more teenage sibling.

The exact cause of death has not been revealed. No charges have been filed.
