3-Year-Old Starts Lemonade Stand to Help Children in Need
You could say helping out runs in little Ava's blood.
A enterprising North Carolina 3-year-old is using a lemonade stand to raise money to buy diapers for mothers and babies in need.
Armed with grandma's recipe, Ava Singletary and her mom, Maggie Singletary, got to work. Singletary makes the beverage, while spunky little Ava serves it up to her faithful customers.
As it turns out, helping out runs in Ava's blood.
"Me and my husband, we give back to the community," Lewis told InsideEdition.com. "And we donate different things like book bag drives, turkey drives, all types of things. And we sowed that seed, and I'm thinking that seed is Ava because this is what she wants to do."
Demand is only growing, with Ava selling gallons of the drink.
"She's in a store right now in Durham and another restaurant wants her to have her drinks in his store," Singletary said. "It's a real business, it's an LLC, it's legit. So this is a business.
"It's gonna go on for a lifetime until she decides this isn't what she wants to do no more,” she added.
