Congressman Explains Bizarre Tiger Costume
A U.S. Congressman is expressing regret for a bizarre photo of him in a tiger costume. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
It was a compelling moment on live TV during Good Morning America when a U.S. Congressman spoke out about a bizarre photo of himself dressed in a tiger costume.
"I did send those photographs. It was unprofessional and inappropriate," admitted Congressman David Wu.
Democrat Wu is a seven-term Congressman from Portland. He made the extraordinary confession that he suffered from what sounds like a nervous breakdown.
"I did some things, I said some things, which I sincerely regret now," said Congressman Wu.
Members of his own congressional staff staged an intervention after he emailed them a picture of himself dressed as a tiger right before Halloween.
The congressman says he's now receiving counseling and is on medication.
"I'm continuing to consult medical help as I need it, and I'm in a good place now," he said.
