Ivanka Trump Slammed for Being 'Tone Deaf' After Tweeting Date Night Photo

She and her husband came under fire for posting about their "date night" as her father's Muslim ban went into effect at nationwide airports.

Ivanka Trump has come under fire for tweeting a photo of herself and her husband Saturday before they had a "date night."

She shared the photo, which has been called "tone deaf," as her father's ban for travelers from seven Muslim-majority nations entering the U.S. went into play.

Trump’s oldest daughter posted a photo of herself and husband Jared Kushnert before they headed out to a black tie dinner. Some are calling the first daughter "tone deaf" for posting the picture as tens of thousands of people were protesting her father's travel ban across the country.

As protests were heating up, the president was taking in his first movie in the White House movie screening room. He chose Finding Dory and star Albert Brooks, who provided the voice for Marlin, found that strange.

“Odd that Trump is watching Finding Dory Today, a movie about reuniting with family when he's preventing it in real life,” the actor tweeted.

There's no word on whether the president tuned in to the Miss Universe pageant, a competition he once owned.

American politics were front and center at the pageant Sunday night.

Host Steve Harvey, who recently met with the president, offered his take on the executive order banning immigration from the seven countries.

"I don’t know why anyone is surprised; he is doing what he said he was going to do. Nobody should be like, 'Oh my God!' This was a campaign promise," Harvey told Inside Edition.

Democratic New York Senator Chuck Schumer was left in tears as he promised to fight the ban Sunday during a press conference.

"This executive order was mean-spirited and un-American," he said. “It was implemented in a way that created chaos and confusion across the country."

In comments from the White House, Trump mocked Schumer.

"I noticed Chuck Schumer yesterday with fake tears," Trump said Monday. "I'm going to ask him who is his acting coach."

Also reacting Monday was Trump aide Kellyanne Conway, who told Good Morning America: "All these tears and bullhorns, where were these people when hundreds of thousands of vets where being mistreated by the VA?"
