The Last 'Envelopegate': After Oscars Controversy, Remembering Another Big Award Show Flub
A similar incident occurred in 2013 during the Daytime Emmy Awards with the ladies of "The Talk."
While the envelope snafu at Sunday night's Oscars ceremony left millions stunned — it wasn’t the first time such an envelope switcheroo happened at a major awards show.

A similar problem occurred happened at the daytime Emmys in 2013 as the ladies of The Talk were on stage together to present the award for Outstanding Talk Show in the Informative Category.
The nominees were The Doctors, Dr. Oz, and Katie Couric's now-canceled show.
“We are so thrilled to be presenting the daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show in the Informative Category,” Julie Chen said onstage.
Then came the big moment, but there was a problem.
Aisha Tyler realized she'd been handed the wrong envelope, just like Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway had been handed the erroneous card Sunday night.
But unlike the flustered Beatty, Tyler kept her cool and handled it just right.
“Oh, interestingly enough, this winner is not in this category," Tyler said smoothly. "But it's exciting to see... If I read it out I'm going to give another category away, so I'm just going to put it back in the envelope.”
Her co-presenters all had looks of astonishment.

"Someone's gonna get me another envelope and it'll have a lot of money and a puppy," she said.
Finally, she was given the correct envelope.
"There'd better be a cocktail waiting on my table!” she said.
"And the winner is ... The Dr. Oz Show! Woo woo!"
