British Foreign Minister Desperately Tried to Save Cop Who Was Killed in Terror Attack
Tobias Ellwood rushed to help a mortally wounded police officer in Wednesday's terror attack.
Britain's Foreign Minister battled mightily to save a mortally wounded police offer stabbed in Wednesday's terror attack, but the man bled to death on the cobblestones outside Parliament, authorities said.
Tobias Ellwood, a military veteran whose brother died in the 2002 Bali bombings, valiantly performed CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on the unidentified victim, surrounded by doctors, paramedics and law enforcement officials.

The politician's hands and face were bloodied as he tried to stem the flow from multiple stab wounds.
The police officer had served as part of the security team at the Parliament compound. He was one of five killed in the carnage that gripped central London when a driver careened across the Westminister Bridge, which spans the River Thames, mowing down pedestrians before slamming into a Parliament fence, officials said. At least 40 people were injured in the attack.
Ellwood, 50, is a former captain in the Royal Green Jackets who served in Kuwait. His brother, Jonathan, was killed in Indonesia when a series of bombs took the lives of 202 people, 23 of them British.
The Tory Member of Parliament stayed with the officer until an air ambulance arrived, but it was too late. He was later seen with blood on his forehead, hands and shirt cuffs while talking with staff at the Foreign Office.

After photos emerged of Ellwood's efforts, social media lit up with tributes to the lawmaker.
We spend much of our time criticising MPs. Today @Tobias_Ellwood restored my faith. Utterly selfless and very humbling #Westminster
