"Sarah Palin has no sense of humor," says Seth MacFarlane.
The creator of Family Guy is breaking his silence about that controversial episode that poked fun at Sarah Palin's Down syndrome son, Trig.
Appearing on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, MacFarlane responded to Palin calling him "cruel and cold-hearted."
He says the show was intended as satire, and he wasn't poking fun at people with challenges as Palin charges.
"You're not going to call a person with a mental challenge retarded. You're just not going to do that. No one with any sense uses that term in that way," he tells Maher.
So far there has been no comment from Sarah Palin.
