3-Legged Bear and 8-Foot-Long Gator Cool Off in the Pool Over Memorial Day Weekend
There's nothing like a nice dip in the pool to beat the heat.
There’s nothing like a nice dip in the pool over Memorial Day weekend, no matter what species you are.
A 3-legged bear spent the holiday weekend splashing around the pool at Performing Animals Welfare Society (PAWS) in California to beat the un-bear-able, triple-digit heat.
Mack, the black bear, was found orphaned in Claremont nearly a year ago and is now a permanent resident of the rescue.
Unlike Mack, an 8-foot-long alligator found across the country in Florida was a less-than-welcomed guest when it was caught cooling off in a family’s pool in Sarasota.
The fun ended for the gator after Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers were called to the scene to fish the thrashing reptile out of a pool, located inside a family’s screened-in porch, according to a video taken by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
"Because no two days on patrol are ever the same," deputies wrote on Facebook Monday.
