Tiny Puppy Rescued by Police Officers After Choking on Cheese
The puppy's panicked owner can be seen sobbing in the background.
A tiny puppy choking on cheese was rescued in the nick of time, thanks to New Mexico police officers who happened to be nearby during the emergency.
Officer Jon O’Guin and Sergeant Jim Edison of the Albuquerque Police Department were responding to a call about a stolen vehicle when they noticed a woman panicking, a police spokesperson told InsideEdition.com.
“She told officers her dog wasn’t breathing and appeared to be choking," he said.
They immediately jumped into action, attempting to resuscitate the unresponsive pup as its owner sobbed frantically in the background.
After several minutes of attempting to dislodge the piece of cheese from the pup’s windpipe, officers were able to help the dog start breathing again.
“The pup was checked out, and is expected to make a full recovery,” the spokesperson said.
