Need a Ride? Family Shocked as Bear Opens Car Door and Climbs Inside
It was one curious bear.
A North Carolina family may want to make sure their doors are locked after a curious bear effortlessly got inside their car and slipped into the back seat.
The Gilliam family watched from inside their home in Asheville, and could not believe their eyes.
The video of Monday’s incident was filmed by 15-year-old Ethan Gilliam as he hung out with his 10-year-old brother.
"I was in awe. We have seen them go through the trash before but it was pretty crazy to see it open the door and get in. I was scared it was going to ruin the car," Ethan told Inside Edition.
Apparently unable to drive away, the bear eventually got out and wandered off.
The new sighting is the latest in a string of recent close encounters drivers have had with bears.
Asheville residents have been claiming all summer that bears are opening car doors. In another incident, a different bear managed to get inside a vehicle and ripped it to shreds.
