Kim Kardashian's Costly Engagement Ring Sparks Criticism

So what's the real deal with Kim Kardashian's $2 million engagement ring?

It turns out Kardashian wore the very same ring back in 2008. At least, it sure looks like the same ring. Back then, she was engaged to football star Reggie Bush.

This week, with great fanfare, Kardashian announced her engagement to basketball star Kris Humphries.  

Many are wondering whether Kardashian bought the $2 million ring herself.

Everyone has an opinion about the 20-carat-stunner. "It's ugly!" blares a New York Post headline.
 
Other criticisms of the ring include "vulgar" and "unbelievably tacky."
