Sara Geurts' skin is covered in wrinkles from her neck to her arms, back, and stomach.

“Everyone who ever touched it said [it's the] softest skin they've ever touched,” she told Inside Edition.

Her sagging skin gives her the appearance of an old woman. She was born with dermatosparaxis Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (dEDS) and her body has zero collagen, the protein that keeps skin firm and elastic.

There is no cure for the disorder, which affects only 1 in 15,000.

“It’s scary knowing that it’s going to get worse over time,” Geurts said. “I don't know what that means for the future.”

The Minnesota resident uses oils to relieve pain and takes vitamin supplements to reduce inflammation.

Geurts isn't shy about showing off her wrinkles to the world and says people stare at her all the time.

She works at the YMCA Twin Cities in Minneapolis. Her condition makes exercise difficult, but she keeps fit with the help of a yoga instructor.

She sees her wrinkles and the patterns on her body as unique and appealing.

“I think it's beautiful,” she said.

Now she's hoping the modeling world will find her wrinkles attractive too, and shot the cover for this month's Volition magazine, a fashion and art publication.

“Everyone struggles with some kind of body issue,” she said. “The message is, 'Be you and who you are.'"
