Stars React to Tracy Morgan's Rant
Despite his apology, 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan is facing more fallout from his homophobic rant. INSIDE EDITION has more.
Comedian Tracy Morgan finds himself under the gun today, following that now-notorious homophobic rant when he said, "Gays need to quit being ------s and not be whining about something as insignificant as bullying."
He also told the crowd he would kill one of his sons if he found out they were gay.
The comedian has apologized for the remarks, but the controversy shows no sign of letting up.
30 Rock star and executive producer Tina Fey managed to be both cutting and funny, saying in a statement, "The violent imagery of Tracy's rant was disturbing to me...It also doesn't line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever hurt another person."
And comedian Chris Rock, who got big laughs at last night's Tony Awards, has reconsidered his support of Morgan.
"...after reading everything Tracy said, wow, I get it. That [stuff] wasn't called for and I don't support it at all," he said.
And the women of The View also weighed in.
Joy Behar was critical of Morgan's rant.
"Mostly my targets are the powerful, my targets are not the unpowerful, which is what he did," she said.
But Whoopi Goldberg said comics risk a lot when they deal with edgy issues.
"He made a mistake, there but for the grace of God go all of us, we have all stepped in it, we have all had to make those apologies."
