New Book Claims Obama Was Nearly Put Up for Adoption

A new book on President Obama's father claims that his parents considering putting him up for adoption. INSIDE EDITION reports.
Did the President's mom and dad nearly put him up for adoption?
That's the bombshell claim of a new book, The Other Barack: The Bold and Reckless Life of President Obama's Father, written by Sally H. Jacobs, a respected reporter from the Boston Globe.
The book claims that the President's father, Barack Obama Sr., told immigration authorities that he and his wife were making arrangements with the Salvation Army to give their baby up for adoption.
That baby, of course, would go on to become the future President of the United States.
Bob Cusack of thehill.com told INSIDE EDITION, "I think it's a bit of a bombshell. This is, certainly in recent memory, the first president that possibly was going to be put up for adoption."
The White House is disputing that report today. A White House spokesman says, "The President is absolutely convinced that his mother never had that conversation."
