The West Memphis Three Begin New Lives After Prison

The three men known as the West Memphis Three began their new lives outside of prison after spending 18 years behind bars for a crime they say they didn’t commit. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
The West Memphis Three get their first taste of freedom.
Damien Echols and Jason Baldwin celebrated their release from prison at a party on the rooftop of a luxurious hotel in downtown Memphis.
Party photos show Echols watching the sunset over the Mississippi river. He was hugged by his wife Lori, who married him while he was on death row.
Singer Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Natalie Maines of The Dixie Chicks, who campaigned to free the West Memphis Three, performed at the party.
Echols was carrying a brand new Apple computer, followed by his wife, as they left the party and boarded a bus that whisked them to a secret location.
West Memphis Three supporter Brent Peterson said, "Damien and Lori are going to go to a secluded location and have some time to de-stress from all these years in solitary."
The third member of the West Memphis Three, Jessie Misskelley, Jr., decided to spend the first night of his release with his family.
Echols, Baldwin, and Misskelley were teenagers when they were convicted 18 years ago of murdering three 8-year-old Cub Scouts during a satanic ritual.
Celebrities like Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp spoke out for their freedom. A judge finally released them after they agreed to plead guilty, but were able to continue to maintain their innocence.
On the Today show, Jason Baldwin said he thinks he knows who the real killer is, but won't reveal his identity.
"I've had the finger pointed at me and I know what it feels like and I do not want to get it wrong," said Baldwin.
Now we're learning more about Lori Davis, Damien Echols's wife, who lovingly tousled his hair at the news conference after his release.
They met after she watched an HBO documentary about the case. She wrote him a letter that led to a romance on death row, and marriage.
Davis was an architect living in New York City but moved to Arkansas to be near him. She's ten years older than the 36-year-old Echols.
