Bystanders Lift Vehicle in Attempt to Save Crash Victim

A group of bystanders rushed to help a car crash victim by lifting the mangled vehicle up and dragging her from underneath. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
It was a dramatic rescue caught on tape as brave bystanders actually lift an overturned truck to save a trapped woman.
The injured passenger was pulled from the wreckage as more than a dozen good Samaratins rushed to lend assistance.
"She's breathing. She's conscious," said one bystander.
The accident happened during the big rush home Sunday at the end of the Thanksgiving holiday. The pickup truck rolled over on Interstate 10 near Desert Center, California, landing on its roof and pinning the victim.
You can hear cries as other motorists spring into action.
"Someone's got to grab her legs!" said one bystander.
The guy shooting the video then noticed the victim's daughter, who escaped injury in the crash, standing next to the wreck.
"Hey, grab her! Grab her! Go comfort that girl right now," said the man shooting the video.
Even before cops arrived, nearly a dozen motorists used all their strength to lift the truck high enough for the woman to be pulled from the twisted metal.
The remarkable desert rescue immediately brings to mind another riveting video of a 21-year-old college student who was dragged to safety by heroic bystanders after his motorcycle crashed into a BMW and burst into flames in September.
And just a few days later, a police dashcam video showed cops and bystanders lifting a car to rescue a 6-year-old boy who was trapped underneath it. The first grader wasn't hurt seriously.
Unfortunately, in the latest example of good Samaritans pitching in to save the day, the 54-year-old driver of the truck was killed.
But thanks to total strangers who stopped to help, at least one passenger is alive today.
