Howard Stern Becomes New Judge on America's Got Talent

INSIDE EDITION talks to Howard Stern about this new job as judge on America’s Got Talent that is causing strong mixed reaction across the country.

Howard Stern, talking about his just-announced job as the new judge on America's Got Talent said, "All of America is embracing this. They're excited. Everyone is excited."

Stern will start his long-rumored new gig next summer, replacing Piers Morgan.

INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent spoke to Stern on his Sirius/XM radio show Thursday.

Trent asked, "Was there concern or any discussion about how things you talk about on your show might affect the image of America's Got Talent?"

"None whatsover. They recogize that my radio show is something separate. They never once gave me a lecture about morality," said Stern.

America's Got Talent is actually moving production from Los Angeles to New York to accommodate the shock jock.

Our INSIDE EDITION online poll results showed 29% said they love the idea of Howard Stern as a judge. But 57% thought it was a bad idea and 14% were undecided

Kathy said, "Don't like him or his mouth!"

But Rebecca said, "All I can say is wow, I'll watch."

Meanwhile, the watchdog group Parents Television Council denounced Stern's new role, calling him, "A performer who is synonymous with shock, profanity and obscenity."
