Timeline of Events Surrounding Whitney Houston's Death

INSIDE EDITION looks at the timeline of events surrounding the death of Whitney Houston at the Beverly Hilton hotel.

Whitney Houston took the stage for what would turn out to be the last performance of her life. It capped a week of wild partying and erratic behavior which ended in her death.

Wednesday, Febrary 8: Houston was seen leaving a  Beverly Hills doctor's office. Later that day, at the Beverly Hilton, her antics were already causing concern.

Houston was staying at the hotel in preparation for the Grammys®, and her presence caused a stir. People who saw her reported she looked disheveled. Her hair was wet with water or sweat. She smelled of booze and cigarettes and her clothes were mismatched. She was reportedly wandering the lobby aimlessly and security personnel even received a call that she was doing handstands by the pool.

Thursday, February 9: Houston walked in unexpectedly on a TV interview her mentor Clive Davis and singers Brandy and Monica were doing. Monica noticed her hair was wet, asking, "Why are you wet again?"

"I've been swimming. I swim two hours a day," replied Houston.

Before she left, an exuberant Houston called her 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, in to greet Davis, who is her godfather.

Later that night, Houston joined Grammy®-nominated singer Kelly Price on stage. No one could have imagined it would be the last time she would ever perform.

She left with her hair damp and disheveled and her face sweaty. And there was a baffling mystery: her leg was streaked with blood and her wrist was badly scratched. INSIDE EDITION reported the strange incident on Friday.

Today Kelly Price told Good Morning America she didn't notice anything amiss.

"She left sweaty and I've heard the word disheveled. That's about right. When you stand up for three hours and you're dancing, you would leave a club looking that way," said Price.

Friday, February 10: A mysterious incident at the Beverly Hilton. A guest on the third floor complained that water was leaking into his room from Houston's rooms on the floor above.
Showbiz 411 Editor-in-Chief Roger Friedman told INSIDE EDITION, "The man who was staying in the room went upstairs to see what was going on and they were already using a water vacuum to clean up the mess. There was a big mess. He said, 'Who's room is this?' and they said, 'It's Whitney Houston's room.' "

Saturday, February 11: The next day, Houston spoke to her cousin Dionne Warwick on the phone. Warwick said, "There was no sign of trouble."

Saturday, February 11 at 3:15 pm: Houston spoke with her mother, Cissy, who later said, "Nothing seemed unusual."

Saturday, February 11 at 3:43 pm: Houston's hairdresser became concerned as she had been in the bathroom for over an hour. The hairdresser at Houston's security guard broke in to find her in the tub face down and called for help.

Saturday, February 11 at 3:55 pm: Houston is declared dead. Her golden voice silenced forever.
