Jordin Sparks gave a touching tribute to Whitney Houston at a recent event in Hollywood. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
Whitney Houston's co-star in her last movie brought everyone to tears with a moving tribute.
Jordin Sparks, who played Houston's daughter in Sparkle, sang a song from the movie so beautifully at Essence magazine's Black Women in Hollywood event, that there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
Tanika Ray, who hosted the event, told INSIDE EDITION, "She sang a very powerful song that meant something to her and Whitney. Jordin had the spirit of Whitney flowing through her when she sang it. Whitney was in the room. We all felt her."
22-year-old Sparks was said to be "a complete wreck" after the death of her idol, according to People magazine.
Sparks was the youngest contestant ever to win American Idol, and her powerful voice would have made Houston proud.
Meanwhile, another person who worked on the movie Sparkle is also speaking out.
Although Beth Griffith doesn't appear on screen, she shared a special bond with Houston. Griffith was hired to be Whitney's stand in for lighting, and camera set ups because she and Houston had a lot in common.
Both the same height, 5' 8" tall, both the same size 6, and both have the same birthday, August 9th.
"How did she feel about having all of those similarities?" INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney asked Griffith.
"It was amazing to her. She just grabbed me and hugged me, and every time we'd see each other, it was a wink, it was a smile," Griffith said.
Now, those who worked with Houston during her final days will forever treasure their memories.
