Flight Attendant Says Online Videos Got Him Fired

INSIDE EDITION talks to the flight attendant who says he was fired for posting parody videos online poking fun at his bosses.
Next time you're tempted to complain about your job, consider the fate of an Americans Airlines flight attendant.
He dressed in drag for a light-hearted spoof of his bosses, and now he's been fired.
INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent spoke to Gailen David and asked, "What was the inspiration?"
"The inspiration was Meryl Streep, the way she did Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. The character that I created, Alumuinum Lady, embodies all the things that front-line workers have come to dislike when we're talking about the corporate leaders of today," said David.
Gailen David posted a dozen videos on his own YouTube channel. He told Trent he was trying to draw attention to American Airlines' cost-cutting, but he ended up being fired.
But David's bosses aren't laughing. American Airlines sent him a letter, reminding him of an earlier warning and saying his website was "in direct violation of the [conflict of interest and social media] policies."
The letter went on to say: "Your employment with American Airlines is terminated."
It's been a bad week for American Airlines. Another flight attendant had a meltdown as a flight was about to take off from Dallas.
Now David is giving them more headaches, and he's not done yet.
"I'll keep doing what I'm doing right now, which is providing information, providing laughs," said David.
In a statement, American Airlines told INSIDE EDITION David was fired for revealing passenger's travel details and promoting competitors on his website, adding he had ignored previous warnings.
