A two-year-old boy born totally deaf hears for the first time, thanks to a miracle high-tech device that is introducing the hearing impaired to a whole new world. INSIDE EDITION reports.
It was a medical miracle and a magical moment, wrapped in one: the very first time in a two-year-old's life that he ever heard a thing—and it was the voice of his mother.
Little Cooper was born totally deaf, but now he's been freed from a world of silence, thanks to a high-tech device known as a Cochlear implant.
"Hi! Do you hear something?" asked his mother.
Cooper smiled.
He reacted to every little sound, smiling and laughing.
And here's some more amazing news for little Cooper—mom says he's already learning his ABCs and counting to ten.
