Tiki Barber Reportedly Leaves Pregnant Wife for Former NBC Intern
Former football superstar Tiki Barber is surprising fans by reportedly leaving his wife, who is eight months pregnant, for a former NBC intern. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
Today show correspondent and former football superstar Tiki Barber has reportedly dumped his wife, who's eight months pregnant with twins, for a former intern.
The news is shocking fans of the former football player, popular for his nice guy image and his million-dollar smile.
The couple's last public appearance together was just after Ginny learned that she was pregnant with twins.
Tiki and Ginny were college sweethearts at the University of Virginia. When he scored touchdowns during his years as a running back for the New York Giants, he blew kisses to her in the stands, just like Cuba Gooding Jr.'s character in Jerry Maguire.
Tiki and Ginny lived on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Ginny described herself as a traditional wife and mom who loved taking care of her husband and their two sons. But Tiki moved out to live in a bachelor pad across town. Then Ginny reportedly learned about the affair with the intern.
The other woman has been identified as former NBC intern Traci Lynn Johnson. She's just 23 and she was photographed sitting next to Tiki in March at an event in Washington, DC. On her MySpace page, she posted a picture of herself posing a number 21 Giants jersey; 21 was Tiki's number.
Tiki just released a statement: "After 11 years of marriage, Ginny and I have decided to separate. This decision was a painful one, but we are moving forward amicably."
