Robert Blake Gives Explosive Interview to Piers Morgan

Pointing right at the camera, actor Robert Blake made a bizarre return to the national spotlight with an outrageous TV interview.

Blake confronted Piers Morgan on his CNN program and said, "You got any idea why? Why I was under arrest for four years and he was under arrest for an hour, Mr. Research?"

Morgan said, "No, I don't."

Blake said, "Well, why the [expletive] don't you look it up before we talk about it!"

Blake seemed unhinged during his interview with Morgan, airing Wednesday night.  

He ranted about his acquittal for the 2001 murder of his wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley. He was later found liable for her wrongful death in civil court.

Now, Blake said he's written a book about his life.

Blake said, "There's chapters about those rotten, bastard cops, that ripped my guts out and left me beside the road to die, I'll get to you [expletive] later, but don't think you're going to get off the hook. I was supposed to die in that cell, wasn't I? You bastards, but I didn't die and you didn't get your book deals, you mothers."

The 79-year-old Blake wore a black cowboy hat and a muscle shirt exposing his bare chest. It's a lot different than how we saw him in court and light years from the actor who starred in the classic 1967 film, In Cold Blood and the seventies TV detective series, Baretta.

Blake now lives in a modest apartment building located next to a busy Los Angeles Freeway.  He declared bankruptcy after his criminal and civil trials, but clearly remains as feisty as ever.

Blake said to Morgan, "Tell me where I'm lying."

Morgan said, "I'm not saying you're lying."

Blake replied, "But you're saying I'm not telling the truth, what the hell is the difference?"

Following the jaw-dropping interview, Piers Morgan tweeted: "Just finished the most astonishing interview of my life with Robert Blake. Truly, shockingly, incredible."
