Gladys Knight Stands By Comments

Gladys Knight talks to INSIDE EDITION, and clarifies remarks she made on the Jackson family drama.
Singer Gladys Knight is standing by a comment she made on The Talk about Paris Jackson cursing at her aunt Janet because she says she was misunderstood.
Knight had told viewers, "If [Paris] called me that, she would have no teeth. That's how we were brought up. You respect your elders."
In an interview with INSIDE EDITION, Knight said, "Sometimes the things we say are taken out of context. What I meant to say was that in my generation we were taught to respect our elders."
It has since come out that Paris never did curse at her aunt Janet. We caught up with Knight and Jamie Foxx at an event promoting Apollo Live for BET.
Foxx told INSIDE EDITION, "When a person like Gladys Knight says respect your elders, that shouldn't be scrutinized, that should be embraced."
