Republican Congressman Kevin Yoder is under fire for skinny dipping in the Sea of Galilee with other members of Congress. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
What was he thinking?
A U.S. Congressman is apologizing today for skinny dipping in one of the world's holiest sites, the Sea of Galilee, where the Bible says Jesus walked on water.
Representative Kevin Yoder, a Republican from Kansas, jumped into the Sea of Galilee after a night of drinking and celebrating in a luxury hotel. Nineteen other members of the U.S. delegation reportedly joined in.
Jake Sherman of Politico told lNSIDE EDITION, "He was the only one who was completely nude. People took their shirts off as I guess is to be expected when jumping into the water. It was a late night swim after a late dinner."
Yoder confirmed in a statement: "After dinner I followed some members of Congress in a spontaneous and very brief dive into the sea, and regrettably, I jumped into the water without a swimsuit. I just want to apologize to my constituents for a momentary lapse in judgement."
