Arnold Schwarzenegger's autobiography reveals details about the affair that ended his marriage, and 60 Minutes' Lesley Stahl talks to INSIDE EDITION about her interview with the star.
Arnold Schwarzenegger does a jaw-droppingly candid interview about just how badly he treated his wife, Maria Shriver when he had his affair with the maid.
60 Minutes' Lesley Stahl asked the former governor the tough questions, and Schwrzenegger faced them head on.
In the interview, Stahl asks point-blank, "So, you lied to her?"
"You can say that," admits Schwarzenegger.
The love child he fathered turns 15 on Tuesday. He looks like he will be well-built like his father and already towers over his mom.
"She gave up her TV career for you. Was this just the most unbelievable act of betrayal to Maria?" asked Stahl.
"I think it was the stupidest thing I've done in the whole relationship. It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids," said Schwarzenegger.
Lesley Stahl spoke with INSIDE EDITION's Paul Boyd.
"He doesn't try in any way to say he didn't do it. He can't really. He has a child from it. He can't deny it," said Stahl.
Boyd asked, "What stays with you from the interview?"
"What stays with me is how charming he is, how smart he is, how funny he is. And how much I had to keep reminding myself of what's come out. Because you get swept up in Arnold," said Stahl.
Schwarzenegger is promoting his new autobiography, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story.
One question everyone has is whether Maria Shriver will watch the tell-all interview when it airs on Sunday.
Stahl said, "I get the feeling that she wants this to go away. That dredging it up is not good for her, for her children. I don't even know if she's going to watch the piece."
