The world hears the recent allegations against Ben Roethlisberger, in his accuser's own words. INSIDE EDITION has more.
The world is learning about the shocking allegations against Super Bowl hero Ben Roethlisberger, in his accuser's own words.
"I told him it wasn't okay, no. We don't need to do this," The 20-year-old college student says in a just-released affidavit.
She claims she was raped in the bathroom of a Georgia nightclub: "He followed me into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. I still said no, this is not okay and then he had sex with me. He said it was okay. He then left without saying anything."
Three sorority sisters who were with the accuser claim in sworn statements that they tried to rescue her, and appealed to Roethlisberger's bodyguards and the owner of the nightclub to intervene, but they refused.
Roethlisberger was flirting with the sorority sisters during the night. Police say he set up numerous drinks on the bar and shouted: "All my [expletive deleted] take some shots!"
The accuser's first handwritten statement shows just how drunk she was that night. It was a barely readable scrawl. The statement she wrote the following day was much neater and more legible.
District Attorney Fred Bright says DNA samples are too small to prove a rape case against Roethlisberger and he will not be charged. The alleged victim also did not want to press charges.
The Steelers quarterback ignored questions about the allegations after a meeting with NFL officials about the case.
And there's more trouble for Roethlisberger. A second woman has told police she was sexually accosted by the quarterback, but she also has declined to press charged. The NFL has yet to take action against Roethlisberger; he could face a multi-week suspension and a six-figure fine.
