Ann Romney proved she can handle the unexpected on live TV as she was a guest host on Good Morning America when her scones were cooked a little too long. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
It was an explosive moment in the kitchen during Ann Romney's appearance on Good Morning America. She started by making a family favorite recipe, a scone called welsh cakes, but she burned them.
"I've got a cooking emergency. The griddle's too hot," Mrs. Romney said on the show. Romney laughed it off.
Later, as actor and gourmet cook Stanley Tucci was melting butter, the too-hot grill caused more trouble.
"Jesus Christ" said Tucci.
"My plane almost goes down, now I'm gonna catch on fire," Romney joked.
"Ann Romney, I'm sorry we almost blew you up," said GMA co-host George Stephanopoulos.
Meanwhile, actress Stacey Dash, from the movie Clueless, was talking about the blistering criticism she's endured as a black celebrity who is publicly supporting Mitt Romney.
"Saddened and shocked. Really shocked. But you know what, you can't expect everyone to agree with you," is how Dash responded to the criticism in her interview with Piers Morgan.
Whoopi Goldberg leaped to Dash's defense. "This is a classy young lady," she said on The View.
Barbara Walters fired back, "That's not why she's being attacked."
"She's being attacked because she has a different view from other people," said Goldberg.
There was also controversy over a photo distributed by the Associated Press News Agency of Mitt Romney with students, taken in Virginia. Romney stooped down to pose for a picture, and the expression on the face of the girl behind him made Romney look, "Foolish," according to some.
Bill O'Reilly called it a cheap shot aimed at Romney. He said, "The AP is one of the largest news wire services in the world, and it's biased against Mitt Romney. I think that's true beyond a reasonable doubt."
The Associated Press said in response, "We fell short of our own standards by not providing a detailed caption of what is happening in the photo."
And on the eve of Thursday night's Vice Presidential debate, a firestorm has been erupting. Turns out, President Obama was a guest at the wedding of the debate's moderator.
Obama was a young Harvard Law School student back in 1991 when he attended the wedding of ABC correspondent Martha Raddatz to Julius Genachowski, an Obama classmate.
Six years later, Raddatz divorced her husband, who is now a major Obama ally and chairman of the FCC.
ABC news calls the controversy "absurd," adding, "Martha Raddatz is known for her tough, fair reporting."
And President Obama now says he has figured out what he did wrong during his debate last week. "I think it's fair to say I was just too polite," Obama said on The Tom Joyner Morning Show.
