Donald Trump revealed his “October Surprise” that he said might impact the election, but much of the reaction is a big “so what?” INSIDE EDITION has the story.
It's Donald Trump's October surprise.
"I have a deal for the president, a deal that I don't think believe he can refuse. And I hope he doesn't," said Trump.
Trump made his big challenge on YouTube that he'll give $5 million dollars to charity if President Obama releases his college transcripts and passport by October 31st.
Trump said, "Mr. President, not only will I be happy and by the way totally satisfied, but the American people will be happy. And you know what? Those charities will be very very happy."
INSIDE EDITION's Paul Boyd reports from the campaign trail, "I'm traveling with President Obama's campaign as he makes a whirlwind tour across the country, making stops in key battleground states of Iowa, Colorado, and Nevada. With less than two weeks to go before Election Day, Donald Trump's so-called October surprise is being greeted by campaign officials here with a big, 'so what' shrug."
Obama is on an all-out blitz for votes as the latest polls show him in a dead heat with Mitt Romney.
Jake Tapper of ABC News said, "Theres a scenario that if the election were held today, Mitt Romney might win the popular vote, but Barack Obama might win the electoral vote. So it's really all down to the math right now."
The president appears on The Tonight Show Wednesday night.
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith will host a fundraiser lunch with Michelle Obama on Thursday at their massive 25,000 square-foot mansion in Malibu Hills, California.
Contrast this to Romney, who is also hustling for votes in the key battleground state, but is spurning the talk show circuit.
Abby Huntsman from the Huffington Post Live said,"When he has gone out to do some of these shows, The View or the late night shows, it comes across awkward and he does end up having gafs."
Clint Eastwood is at it again. In a just-released ad he made for Romney, the legendary actor speaks directly to voters this time, and not an empty chair.
The comics are getting the last word.
"One of President Obama's winning points last night was about how sanctions against Iran are crippling their economy. And believe me, if anyone knows how to cripple an economy it's President Obama," joked Jay Leno.
"But after the debate last night, experts agreed that Obama, President Obama, won on substance. And I said, 'Well big deal, Lance Armstrong won on several substances,'" said funny-man David Letterman.
