The Latest On Paula Broadwell

"I’m not in love with David Petraeus,” fateful words as Paula Broadwell was interviewed about the CIA director she was having an affair with.

The exchange came during an interview, when she was promoting her biography of Petraeus, All In.

"I sent a copy to him and his wife. I know Holly Petraeus, his wife, read it and she had great things to say," said Broadwell during the interview.

INSIDE EDITION’s Paul Boyd spoke with Broadwell's interviewer, Arthur Kade, about her "I’m not in love" comment.

Kade said, "Hindsight is 20/20."

Boyd said, "Do you kick yourself thinking you may have missed something?"

Kade said, "We all missed something. This is something that the FBI had to get involved to dig it up."

General Petraeus' former executive officer, retired Col. Peter Mansoor, told INSIDE EDITION he was astonished about the access Patraeus granted Paula Broadwell.

"I find it somewhat odd to allow someone who has never written a book before be his biographer," he said.

 When the story exploded Friday, Broadwell and her doctor-husband were on a romantic champagne-and-roses getaway to celebrate her 40th birthday.

They stayed at the quaint Middleton Inn in Virginia. They were in the $475-a-night ascot room with a four-poster bed and a working fireplace.

Broadwell's father, Paul Krantz, is making some very cryptic comments about the scandal.

"There is a lot more that is going to come out. You wait and see. There's a lot more here than meets the eye," said in the New York Daily News.
