It was a living nightmare for some cast members of Modern Family when they got stuck in an elevator at a fundraising appearance. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
The stars of the hit comedy, Modern Family, proved they can improvise funny lines when they're stuck in an elevator.
Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson aren't the first stars ever to find themselves in this fix.
The Jonas Brothers were once trapped in an elevator for nearly an hour after giving a concert in Hollywood. Funnyman Jim Carrey played it for laughs when he was stuck in an elevator in Brazil and former Today show host Ann Curry kept up a brave front when she was trapped in the New York Times building elevator for more than an hour.
The Modern Family stars were shoulder to shoulder with a dozen other people in an elevator at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel.
The stars were there to headline a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of greater Kansas City, Stonestreet's hometown.
Along with a photograph, Jesse Tyler tweeted, "This is us right now. 45 minutes stuck in this elevator."
Eric Stonestreet made light of the whole situation, tweeting, "I honestly handled being stuck in an elevator for 50 minutes better than I thought. All Jesse Tyler did was pass wind."
When the stars finally took the stage for the fundraiser, they got big cheers, even though they were an hour late through no fault of their own.
