Strange Omens Reported On Set Of "The Bible"

The ratings are huge for the hit miniseries, The Bible, but everyone is buzzing about the strange omens that reportedly occurred during filming. INSIDE EDITION has the details.

Everyone's talking about the blockbuster mini-series The Bible.

10.8 million viewers tuned in to the History Channel Sunday night to watch the second installment of the six-part series. The ratings were slightly down from last week's 13 million viewers but still showed a massive audience.

The Bible was also trending on Twitter. Oprah Winfrey herself couldn't stop tweeting as she watched the TV show everyone's buzzing about. Among her feisty messages, "Samson distracted by Delilah, fatal flaw.”

The huge ratings are also getting a major assist from Sunday church sermons across the land. Megachurch pastor Joel Osteen passionately urged his seven million followers to watch.

Joel Osteen said, “It’s the Bible like you’ve never seen before.”

So did pastor Craig Groeschel.

Craig Groeschel said, “Thanks for helping get the word out about The Bible series.”

Regular folks are taking to YouTube to voice their enthusiasm for the series.

The ratings aren't the only things that were heaven-sent. Executive producer, Mark Burnett, whose wife Roma Downey plays Mary the mother of Jesus, told Entertainment Weekly about some of the unexplained occurrences on the LA set.

At one point, the good looking actor playing Jesus read the line, "'The holy spirit is like the wind.' Suddenly, a wind almost blew the set over and sustained for 20 seconds across the desert. Everyone just looked at everyone like, 'what just happened?’”

One thing's for sure, the series is a god send for History Channel. The Bible is the most successful entertainment show on cable this year.
