Original Mouseketeer Annette Funicello has died at the age of 70. INSIDE EDITION reports.
She was known as America's sweetheart, but now, Annette Funicello has died. Funicello, was one of the original Mouseketeers.
Funicello was the original spring breaker, starring in a series of 1960's beach movies like Beach Blanket Bingo and How to Stuff a Wild Bikini.
In the 1990's, Funicello was diagnosed with MS. The disease robbed her of her ability to walk and talk. She was confined to a wheelchair.
Today, her family was forced to turn off life support. Annette Funicello was 70 years old.
Funicello passed the baton on to a new generation of Mousketeers like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, but she'll always be remembered as the ultimate Mouseketeer.
