Stars Say Golden Globes Will Spotlight Haiti

The Golden Globes is usually a celebration of movies and fashion, but this year the topic on everyone's mind will be the devastation in Haiti. What will be the tone at this year's Globes? INSIDE EDITION reports.
INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret was the Grand Ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where last minute preparations are underway for Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony.
The backdrop to the glitz and glamour is the somber images coming out of Haiti, and while the Globes is one of Hollywood's biggest parties of the year, the victims of the devastating earthquake will be on everyone's minds.
Celebrities attending, like Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cheryl Hines, say the Golden Globes will put the spotlight on Haiti.
"That may be a time to actually publically say we care and even though we're doing this tonight you're on our mind and we're reaching out," Hines tells INSIDE EDITION.
Relief efforts in Haiti received a large donation from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association; which puts on the Globes. The HFPA has already donated over $100,000 to the cause.
"We're going to make sure that everybody realizes that while we're honoring the best of this year, we do care. So that will be clear," says Barry Adelman, the Executive Producer of the Golden Globes.
At the InStyle Diamond fashion show, Haitian-born actress Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon told INSIDE EDITION she is worried for her family. "We have family that's missing at the moment...but we are all just staying strong," she said.
And actress Jane Kaczmarek's Clothes Off Our Back charity is teaming with celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch, and will auction off gowns worn by stars and donate a portion to Haitian relief efforts.
"Hollywood is a very, very generous community and I'm relying on them again in this horrible situation in Haiti," Kaczmarek told INSIDE EDITION.
There will also be an all star telethon for Haitian relief called Hope for Haiti. It will air on all the major broadcast and cable networks on Friday, January 22nd at 8 p.m. EST.
