Blogger Slams Oklahoma City Thunder Cheerleader Over Weight
A blogger is in hot water after she claimed a cheerleader on the Oklahoma City Thunder is "too chunky" to cheer. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
Kelsey Williams is the pretty blonde cheerleader who just got slammed for being too fat to cheer.
Believe it or not a cruel blogger wrote, "Is this chick "'Too chunky' to be a cheerleader?"
Williams cheers for the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder, entertaining the fans in short shorts and a tiny top. She's a three year veteran with the team and is as fit and toned as the other cheerleaders.
But the blogger singled her out for having "pudginess" around her waistline. The blogger even asked readers to weigh in asking if Williams:
A) Has the perfect look to be an NBA cheerleader.
B) Could use some tightening up in her midsection.
C) Has no business wearing that outfit in front of people.
The readers were horrified.
One wrote, "This is disgusting. You're cruel. Grow up."
Another called the blog, "A hateful attack on a beautiful, talented woman."
The poll results were overwhelmingly in support of Williams.
82% said she has the perfect look to be a cheerleader. Only 5% said she has no business wearing her cheerleading outfit.
So who is behind the cruel blog?
It was written by "Claire Crawford" which is reportedly a pen name for Anna Megan Raley. Raley actually once tried out to be a cheerleader herself, she auditioned for a Houston soccer team.
Now, her readers are calling her a mean girl and calling on her bosses to fire her.
As for Kelsey Williams, she's holding her head high tweeting, “Thank you to EVERYONE for the compassion and love today. I'm in awe.”
Raley denies writing the controversial blog post.
